What we collect, and why
Nothing here is used for advertising, and none of it is used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Buyerapp
- Mobile number
- It is how you sign in — we send a one-time code to it. It is also how a seller or courier reaches you about a delivery.
- Delivery address
- So your order can be delivered. Shared with the seller fulfilling that order and, where used, the delivery partner.
- Order history
- What you bought, when, and for how much — so you can see your orders, raise a return, and so we can meet Indian tax and consumer-protection record-keeping rules.
- Device push token
- An anonymous identifier issued by Apple or Google so we can notify you when your order ships or is delivered. It does not identify you personally and is deleted when you sign out or delete your account.
Sellerapp — everything above, plus:
- Aadhaar number and document
- Required by Indian law to verify that a marketplace seller is who they claim to be. It is used once, to verify you, and is visible only to our verification team. It is never shown to buyers, never returned to the app after upload, and is deleted when your account is deleted.
- Bank account / UPI ID
- So we can pay you for what you sell. Used only to send you money.
- Shop name, village, and photo
- Shown publicly on your shop and product listings — this is the part buyers see.
- Product photographs
- The photos you upload of the items you make. Shown publicly on your listings.
What we never do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to anyone.
- We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We never store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or bank password. Those go directly to our payment gateway; they do not pass through our servers.
- We do not show your Aadhaar number, bank details, or phone number to other users.
How long we keep it
Your account data is kept while your account is open. When you delete your account it is removed immediately, with one exception: Indian tax and consumer-protection rules require us to keep a record of completed orders. Those records are kept, but the details that identify you — your name, phone number, and address — are stripped out of them.
Your rights

Children
These apps are not intended for children. You must be 18 or older to buy or sell on Dada Udyogini. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or what we do with it, we update this page and ask you to accept the new policy the next time you sign in. Your acceptance is recorded against the specific version you were shown — an old acceptance never carries over to a policy you have not read.
