The one rule
The buyer should receive exactly what they thought they were buying. Every rule below is that rule, applied.
Photographs
- Photograph the actual item. Not a similar one, not one from the internet, not the one you sold last month.
- Use daylight. Shoot against a plain wall or cloth so the item, not the background, is what a buyer sees.
- Show the whole item in the first photo, then add close-ups of the weave, the grain, the join — the parts a buyer would want to touch.
- Show the flaws too, if there are any. A buyer who was told is a buyer who keeps the item.
- No text, no price stickers, no watermarks, no borders on the photo itself.
Descriptions

Pricing
You set your own price and we do not mark it up. Price the work honestly: what the materials cost you, and what your time is worth. Do not inflate a price in order to show a discount against it.
Orders
- Mark an order shipped only when it has actually left you.
- Pack for the road it has to travel. Most returns we see are breakage, not disappointment.
- If you cannot fulfil an order, cancel it promptly so the buyer is refunded rather than left waiting.
What gets a listing rejected
- A photo that is not of the item being sold.
- A description that does not match the photo.
- Mass-produced goods presented as handmade.
- Counterfeit goods, or another artisan's work presented as your own.
- Anything unlawful to sell in India.
Repeat offences. A listing that misleads is taken down. A seller who does it repeatedly is removed from the marketplace and any pending payout is held pending review.
