1.Introduction and Policy Statement
Ramanbyte Pvt. Ltd. having its registered office at (Chondhe Complex, G No. 499., A/P Bhugaon Tal Mulshi, Pune-412114 Maharashtra, India) (“Ramanbyte”, “we”, “us” or “our”), operates and manages the Seller Application (Dada) (“Dada Udyogini”) (“Seller App”), which enables registered sellers to access the platform and undertake activities associated with offering and selling Products and Services.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, an individual, business, organisation or authorised representative accessing or using the Seller App shall be referred to as the “Seller”, “User”, “you” or “your”.
We are committed to maintaining appropriate safeguards for Information relating to Sellers. This Privacy Policy explains the manner in which Information may be collected, received, used, processed, stored, disclosed, transferred and retained in connection with the Seller App and the services provided through it.
This Privacy Policy should be read together with the applicable Seller Agreement, Terms and Conditions and other policies, notices or guidelines communicated through the Seller App.
2.Scope and Applicability
By registering for, accessing or using the Seller App or by submitting Information through the platform, you acknowledge that you have reviewed this Privacy Policy and agree to the handling of your Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
The Seller App and related Services are intended to operate in accordance with the applicable laws of India. Information may be stored or processed through systems and service providers used in connection with the platform, subject to applicable legal requirements.
This Privacy Policy is an electronic record and shall be interpreted in accordance with applicable laws concerning electronic records, information technology, privacy and data protection.

3.Information Collected from Sellers
The Information collected from Sellers may vary depending upon the Seller Services and functionality used through the Seller App.
Such Information may include:
- Seller’s name or authorised representative’s name;
- mobile or telephone number;
- email address;
- business, shop or correspondence address;
- account and login-related details;
- information relating to Products and listings submitted through the platform;
- order and transaction-related information;
- communications, support requests, feedback and complaints; and
- other information reasonably required for operating the Seller account and providing Seller Services.
Such information shall be referred to as “Personal Information”.
Where relevant to the services or transactions provided through the Seller App, we may also collect information relating to payment or payout arrangements, authentication or other financial or account-related information submitted by the Seller.
Information may be collected when a Seller registers an account, updates account information, submits Product information, manages transactions, communicates with us or uses any feature of the Seller App.
Information received through different interactions may be combined where reasonably required to operate, maintain or improve the Seller Services.
Where a Seller provides Information relating to another individual, the Seller is responsible for ensuring that it is authorised or otherwise permitted to provide such Information to us.
4.Collection, Use and Disclosure of Seller Information
4.1 Seller Information may be handled for the following purposes.
4.1.1Collection of Seller Information
We may collect Information required to register and administer Seller accounts, facilitate Product listings, process transactions, provide Seller Services, communicate with Sellers and satisfy applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
Information or supporting documents may also be requested where reasonably necessary for verification, transaction processing or compliance purposes.
4.1.2Purposes for Using Information
Seller Information may be used to:
- establish and maintain Seller accounts;
- authenticate Seller access to the platform;
- process and administer Seller registrations and account requests;
- facilitate Product listings and catalogue-related activities;
- process and manage orders and transactions;
- coordinate fulfilment, delivery, returns and cancellations where applicable;
- facilitate relevant payment or payout processes;
- provide transaction confirmations, account notices, technical communications and security alerts;
- provide customer and Seller support;
- respond to disputes, complaints and grievances;
- maintain relevant business, operational and transaction records;
- detect and address fraud, misuse, errors, security incidents or unlawful activities;
- improve the Seller App and related Services; and

Seller Information may be made available to Buyers to the extent reasonably necessary to identify or understand the Seller, Shop or Product and to facilitate a transaction.
Relevant Information may be shared with delivery, logistics or other service providers where necessary to complete or support transactions.
We may use third-party service providers for technology, hosting, payment processing, communications, customer support, verification, analytics and other functions necessary for operating the platform.
Such service providers may receive Information required for performing their assigned services and may be subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
We may disclose Information to external organisations or persons where reasonably necessary to:
- comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal proceedings or governmental requirements;
- detect, prevent or address fraud, security or technical issues;

Where third-party payment or financial service providers are used, such providers may independently collect and process information required for the relevant payment or payout service. Their processing may also be governed by their own applicable terms and privacy practices.

Seller Information shall be maintained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Seller account, provide Seller Services, complete and record transactions, address disputes and satisfy applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or other legitimate requirements.
Once Information is no longer required for the relevant purposes, it may be deleted, anonymised or securely disposed of, subject to any applicable retention obligations.

6.1 Non-identifying information may include technical, diagnostic, device, system, software, application and usage-related information that does not independently identify a particular Seller.
6.2 If such information is combined with Personal Information in a manner that identifies an individual, it shall be treated as Personal Information to the extent required by applicable law.

The Seller App may collect technical, diagnostic and usage-related information generated through a Seller’s use of the platform.

8.5 Third-party websites or services accessible through links from the Seller App may have their own cookies and privacy practices. We do not control such third-party practices and recommend reviewing their applicable policies separately.
9.Marketing Communications and Opt-Out Choices
9.1 Sellers may be provided with an option to discontinue receiving non-essential promotional, marketing or advertising communications from us or our authorised partners.

9.3 Opting out of promotional communications will not prevent the Company from sending communications that are necessary for account administration, transactions, payments, security, compliance, service updates or other essential purposes.
